About Leon Hampson

After completing my post-graduate study in Fine Art at the Royal Academy Schools I went on to become a designer, creative director and digital accessibility specialist.

Born in Manchester, I now live in West Yorkshire.

I've been making digital prints and artworks since 1993.

My recent work has been produced using a form of artificial intelligence sometimes known as machine learning. Texts are processed using machine learning software which results in a series of images. Themes vary from popular idioms to song lyrics and from random text input to excerpts from literary texts. Serendipity plays a significant role when choosing images to print and edition but the final choice of image ultimately relies on finding a familiarity in the subject.
